How to repurpose a blog post into social media posts
Turn one idea into content for your chosen platforms.
Why repurpose a blog post?
A blog post already holds the hard part: the idea, the research and the main points. Repurposing it for social media lets more people see that work, in the places they already spend time, without writing everything again from a blank page.
Each platform needs something different. A LinkedIn post can explain a point in a few short paragraphs, a post on X needs to be brief, an Instagram caption sits alongside a visual, and a TikTok or YouTube Shorts script has to work when spoken out loud.
A simple way to do it by hand
- Pick the key points. Note the one main message of the post and two or three supporting points, tips or examples.
- Choose your platforms. Focus on the places your audience actually reads, rather than trying to be everywhere at once.
- Rewrite for each one. Change the length, tone and format to suit each platform, and open with a line that makes sense on its own.
- Add a visual where it helps. Image-led platforms such as Instagram need a picture to go with the words.
- Link back to the post. Point people to the full article when they want to read more.
How Scattify helps
- Drop in your article link. Paste the link to your blog post, or paste the text itself.
- Scattify it. Choose your platforms and Scattify writes a draft for each one, matched to that platform's style, with matching visuals to support your posts.
- Review, copy and publish. Edit any draft, save it to your library, then copy or download it and post it yourself on your chosen platforms.
Scattify does not post to your accounts. You always have the final say over what is published, where and when.
